“Athens, Georgia experimental pop heroes the Olivia Tremor Control never exactly broke up, but other than a couple of quasi-reunion tours, they’ve lain dormant since 2000. Last year, co-leader Will Cullen Hart told us that the band was recording again. AUX is an event and publication series devoted to experimental art in all forms. Based in Athens, AUX is supported by Ideas for Creative Exploration (ICE), an interdisciplinary initiative for advanced research in the arts at the University of Georgia.
On October 19, 2010, AUX will release the compilation AUX Vol. 2, curated by Heather McIntosh (The Instruments), in a limited-edition of 250 hand-printed packages designed by Joshua Ray Stephens and printed by David Savino. The record was mastered by Derek Almstead (Elf Power) in Athens, Georgia and produced by Mark Callahan (ICE). All rights to the works contained on this CD remain with the individual artists.
