The Honey Trees' latest single, "Nightingale", signals the shifting of seasons

With the four years of studio work leading up to their debut LP, Bright Fire, The Honey Trees allowed themselves the perfectionist’s time table to paint their sonics with the rich, amber hues of a sepia-soaked production. Premiering at Paste, “Nightingale” coos with the lush, dreamy wash of the California coast as Becky Filip’s vocals channel the blithe heartbreak of Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino; guitar driven, indie pop-rock that lines their halcyonic walk in the woods with an array of pillowy string arrangements and sparkling trimmings and chimes. Warm yourself with the California duo’s “Nightingale,” below.
