Tummyache

tummyache is An Alternative Rock Project created by Songwriter / producer soren bryce. The project is named after one of the side effects of severe physical anxiety. Bryce has been creating and releasing music for the past six years Under her own name. Tummyache manifested from Bryce’s need to explore a new set of emotions She experienced while living in brooklyn, new york.

the debut ep “humpday” is an honest and aggressive self-dive into a myriad of Intra/interpersonal issues; as well as a reflection of the human condition through the lens of absurdism. Songs like “machine” and “commonplace” are a cry to understand a life without intrinsic meaning, while “median” and title track “humpday” surrender to the existential anxiety in an attempt to be comforted by self-made hope. “in between” is a bitter-sweet outline of Bryce seeking to simply ‘feel better’.

Lyrics

4.MEDIAN

Maybe I’ll call my mom today / I feel happy, I feel loved, I feel everything
Swinging by some shoelaces and weather change / my atoms rearranged, rearranged

Made it outside the gray / I tried to suffocate my brain but it won’t die
My moral compass is intact / even when it’s a little shy
My life has been a collection of two extremes / until I rested in
The median

You’re just like a root canal / dug you out / there’s ghost feeling in my mouth
Laughed so hard I couldn’t speak / then again, oxygen has a losing streak / at least with me

Made it outside the gray / I tried to suffocate my brain but it won’t die
My moral compass is intact / even when it’s a little shy
My life has been a collection of two extremes / until I rested in
The median
I rested in / the median

Simplicity / simplicity / simplicity / sit down I’m not your enemy
Simplicity / simplicity / simplicity / sit down I’m not your enemy

My life has been a collection of two extremes / until I rested in
The median

Simplicity / simplicity / simplicity / sit down I’m not your enemy
Simplicity / simplicity / simplicity / sit down I’m not your enemy
Sit down I’m not your enemy / sit down I’m not your enemy

5.IN BETWEEN

It’s been a rough couple years, I won’t lie
I / I’ve been down on my knees / and I kissed the floor where I lied
I can’t help / the ones that I love get better
And I feel / as much myself as a poison

I am not strong / I’m very weak
There is / barely a human upon these feet
There is no will / left within me
Oh life and death / I am sorry / for all that I did in between

I want to feel better / I want to feel better / I want to feel better
I want to feel better / I want to feel better / I want to feel better
I want to feel better / I want to feel –

Prince

Prince will forever be remembered as a commanding live performer, chart-topping recording artist, and music business revolutionary.

Yet for all the time he spent in the spotlight over his four-decade-long career, Prince also worked tirelessly behind the scenes to nurture talent and pen songs for the rising artists he respected.

The Prince Estate, in partnership with Warner Bros. Records and TIDAL, releases Originals, a 15-track album featuring 14 previously unreleased recordings that illuminate the vital, behind-the-scenes role Prince played in other artists’ careers. The tracks were selected collaboratively by Troy Carter, on behalf of The Prince Estate, and JAY-Z.

By the mid-1980s, Prince was dominating the charts even as a writer/producer with songs he’d composed and recorded for others. In addition to releasing nine of his most commercially successful full-length albums, he also wrote and recorded endless reels of material for proteges The Time, Vanity 6, Sheila E., Apollonia 6, Jill Jones, the Family, and Mazarati. Occasionally, Prince’s original demo recordings would be used as master takes on their albums, with only minor alterations to the instrumentation and a replacement of the vocal tracks. Other times, artists would rely on his demos to guide them through their own recording process, with Prince’s initial take informing their final version of his song. The aggregate effect was a complete saturation and transformation of the pop music landscape, with Prince both leading and subverting mainstream culture.

Several of the iconic songs found on Originals were considerable hits for the artists who recorded them. Sheila E.‘s “The Glamorous Life” reached #1 on the dance charts in 1984, while the enormous success of “Manic Monday” propelled the single and its accompanying album, The BanglesDifferent Light, to the #2 spot on the pop charts. The Time’s Ice Cream Castle, featuring the top 20 “Jungle Love”, spent a whopping 57 weeks on the Billboard 200. And in 1991, Martika enjoyed international success with “Love… Thy Will Be Done”, a top 10 hit in France, Australia, the UK and the USA.

Originals pulls back the curtain to reveal the origins of these familiar songs, in addition to deeper album cuts such as Vanity 6’s “Make-Up,” Jill Jones’s “Baby, You’re a Trip,” and Kenny Rogers‘ “You’re My Love.” The album also features Prince’s majestic original 1984 version of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” released in 2018 as a standalone single.

Today Warner Bros. Records releases this extraordinary body of work, sourced directly from Prince’s vast archive of Vault recordings, via all download and streaming partners and physically on CD, while 180 gram 2-LP and limited edition Deluxe CD+2-LP formats will follow on July 19th.

Team Clermont's 15th Anniversary Summer Showcase: Bear In Heaven, Olivia Tremor Control, & more!

We are excited to announce the return of the Team Clermont Summer Showcase and Prom, as we celebrate 15 years of excellence in radio promotion and PR! This will be the first summer festival since our massive 10th anniversary, and we’re putting together the biggest celebration to date.

Over the July 26-28 weekend two showcases will be held at the Georgia Theatre, headlined by critically acclaimed national act Bear In Heaven (Brooklyn, NY) and psych-pop pioneers The Olivia Tremor Control (Athens, GA.)

We’ll be closing out the weekend with our Prom, to be held at The Melting Point on Saturday night. A favorite among out-of-towners and locals alike, the Prom brings the attendees back to the times of cover bands, questionable outfits, photo booths and punch bowls, without all of the awkwardness of being a teenager.

In addition to these events, we will see the return of our highly competitive “K’s vs W’s Kickball Showdown,” and our first ever Record Fair with vinyl goodies at your perusal from our label partners, individual local vendors and community record store friends.

Three day passes ($25) as well as individual tickets ($10 advance, $12 at door) will be available soon!

Team Clermont has secured a block of rooms at a reduced rate at The Foundry, where The Melting Point is located, so you can sleep stumbling distance from Prom! Be sure to let them know you are with the Team Clermont party to receive the discounted rate when booking.

We’ll be announcing additional artists and few more surprises soon, so stay tuned! Be sure you are following our Twitter and a Facebook fan to follow all the action.

Radio

Our radio department gets results through years of long-term working relationships with over 400 college, public, satellite, online and commercial stations across the U.S. and Canada. Campaigns generally last 6 weeks, and are strategically planned to meet the expectations of every client on each record. Simply put, we get radio airplay.

College & Public Radio
Team Clermont campaigns generally last 4-6 weeks to as many as 400 top-ranked college, public, community, NPR, satellite and online radio stations in the United States and Canada. We begin with the prep work in the weeks prior to the add date with calls, personalized and blast emails, press releases, sending links to videos and songs, and more. We schedule with and post download links to the radio trades such as NACC, Spinitron and Muzooka and announce the release to radio. Next, we focus on bringing in the adds and airplay during the week of the add date. Each week we do the same and provide clients reports detailing all actions taken by radio.

We work half the number of releases as our competitors, this way, you know you will always be a priority for Team Clermont, and your records will not become part of a laundry list. Our team promotes records to radio through long-standing relationships with the stations and provides clients with weekly tracking reports, detailing all pertinent radio tracking data at each station. Our goal is to get maximum airplay for each record and chart positions which reflect that airplay.

College & public radio promotion campaign rates may be discounted if combined with
PR campaigns so feel free to ask about those and the true-indie discounts.

Non-commercial, Triple-AAA, and Alternative Specialty Shows
For years Team Clermont has serviced these stations and DJs with astounding success. Now we partner with the best indie promoters in the US to find you the best team available.

This is a separate service from college radio (and not for every release) with its own rates and review process. Please submit music noted specifically for A-3 or specialty shows separately.

Think your music has what it takes to be on the radio? Submit your music now.

Our radio department and its successes are derived from all the many years of radio promotion work by our very own Founder, Nelson Wells, as well as by our VP, Bill Benson. Nelson began his college radio promotion career right out of college starting with indie bands from Richmond, Virginia such as The Technical Jed, Schwa, and others. Nelson’s 3rd client was a fairly unknown South Carolina band, called Hootie & The Blowfish. The band had $800 and asked Nelson to do radio promotion, press, distribution, and whatever he could to help them grow beyond an indie band. And that he did. Within weeks the band had sold 35,000 copies of their own independently released EP, and were quickly signed by Bruce Flohr at RCA where they went on to create a life-long career.

Nelson began Team Clermont in 1997 with then employee Bill to showcase and support small unknown talented young bands across the US. Since then, the two have grown a small, respected music empire known for helping the small bands, the indiest of labels, civil rights groups, the downtrodden, the little guy, and the truly and fiercely independent artist and musician. In 2005 Nelson began the sale 50% of the corporate shares of Team Clermont to Bill, now Nelson’s business partner and Team Clermont VP and head publicist.

Nelson and Bill both have been consistent contributors and supporters of many non-profits and charities in which they believe. From Nuci’s Space to The ACLU, and from Community Connection to The Vic Chesnutt Songwriters Award, to The Jeanette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund their donations and support can be felt throughout the community.
