Impose Premiered Kinjac's remix of River Whyless' "Stone"

The great country western epic soundtrack canons penned from Hazlewood, Morricone productions get tricked out and kicked up by the silver spurs of a next re-envisioning. The dusty vagabond trails of River Whyless’s original are given new drum machine appointments and a baroque score where the stems are set up and situated into sampling modules, and freshly arranged sequences.

The Big Takeover Premiered Kinjac's Haunting Remix of Carolinabound's "Chaos."

Kinjac is the eclectic electro-rock solo project of musician/producer Michael O’Shea (pictured). Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, and now based in Los Angeles, O’Shea produced Smoking Gun, the debut EP by Carolinabound, the stage moniker of Chris Smith, a singer-songwriter based in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

The original version of “Chaos,” which premiered today on Verbicide, is gentle, aching alt-country; this remix is a very different beast, as haunted as the house it was recorded in.
