Bullett Premiered Hints' "Pillow Case," the Second Single Off Their Upcoming Album

Nooga Included Hints' "Benediction" in this week's Left of the Dial Column

On “Benediction,” they piece together a collection of radiant guitar tones, lilting vocal refrains and some particularly memorable melodies. The influences are obvious, but the way the band crafts this perfectly paced pop song is something of a miracle, as it never relies on those same influences to carry it past that initial rhythmic recognition. It’s bright and held up by gossamer guitars and a determined beat that makes it sound like a lost gem from Flying Nun Records. Hints carry this jangle pop mantle and proudly lift it above their heads for all to see.

Noisey Has the Premiere of Hints' First Single, "Benediction" off Their Upcoming Album, 'No Regrets in Old English'

Being a dude in a Brooklyn band is hard. You’re surrounded by a bunch of other dudes with the same haircut doing the same thing as you, wearing the same cardigan as you, and probably buying the same distortion pedals as you are. It takes a LOT to stand out, but the dudes of Hints have already stepped away from the pack by crafting perfectly 80s tinged, clean music with lyrics that are actually tangible.
