Get to know... Hermit Thrushes!
Let’s not lie: Hermit Thrushes have had a really exciting few months. Back in April, their song “Snowflake Heart” was featured on Tiny Mix Tapes’ Chocolate Grinder Mix 09 (alongside tunes from Dirty Projectors, Deerhunter, and Akron/Family), and Slight Fountain, the band’s new full-length, was just released a few weeks ago!
Slight Fountain is gloriously eccentric and unpredictable. It makes sense – the Hermit Thrushes are quirky dudes. Some of the guys pulled their pants down at last year’s CMJ Marathon in front of a bunch of people! An impressive feat, if we do say so ourselves.
In a few days, Hermit Thrushes will begin bouncing around the country on their just-over-a-month-long tour, and a Daytrotter session is on the way! Be sure to tell your family, friends, and lots of strangers.
