Balmorhea releases "Bowsprit," the first song from the forthcoming album, Constellations
2010 is going to be a big year for the Austin-based group, Balmorhea. They’re following up their last two critically-acclaimed full-lengths with a new LP, Constellations, which will be out on February 23, 2010 via Western Vinyl. Upon the album’s release, Balmorhea will join the Danish group Efterklang on a North American tour before returning home for a string of shows at SXSW.
Constellations is a solemn meditation on the mystical and metaphysical, often giving the listener a sense of being tossed about on the ocean, at the mercy of a reckless and merciless god. The album ultimately hopes to provide a euphoric release for listeners as they realize that fate relies more upon the teasing whims of the unknown than any design of our own.
