“For the video, Funston combined neon images with lots of blacklight paint, creating the perfect contrast of bright color against darkness. “Inspired by Iska Dhaaf’s love for writing, “Invisible Cities” contains a vocal sample of My Struggle: Book One, read by author Karl Ove Knausgård. The excerpt immediately sets the song’s unsettling mood, as the track hastily drives rhythmic force to the listener. A sense of both urgency and paranoia plague the single, as Nathan Quiroga hauntingly sings his narrative over the song’s blurry bassline and freakish melody.”
